Assignment

1. Create Company in Tally using the details provided in the table 1 and Configure Payroll.
2. Create Employee groups for all departments and Add Employees as per the details given in Table 2.
3. Create Unit of measurement for the Overtime payment. Unit symbol – Hrs. Formal Name – Hours
4. Create attendance Types as Present, Absent and Overtime
5. Create Pay Heads for the Earning, Deduction and Employer Contribution components as per the Table 3.
6. Define salary for all employees based on Table 3.
7. Pass attendance voucher for the month of August as per Table 4.
8. Process Salary for the month of August including Salary, Variable Pay (Refer Table 5) & Employer Contribution
9. Issue Pay Slip to all employees
10. Assume PF, ESI and PT are applicable.

1. Assume PT for the month is Rs.200 if the Gross salary is more than Rs. 25,000.
2. EPF is calculated at 12% of Basic, restricted to Rs.1800 per month
3. ESI is calculated at 0.75% of Gross Salary if the Gross Salary is less than Rs.21,000
